If you read the fine print first, you wont be taken by surprise!! I just used a coupon code and I got 4 $15 certificates at 2.20 a piece. Yes, that means I have to spend 30 each time. But thats still a savings of 12.80 each visit. Most of the restaurants do tend to be local, not the typical chain, so youre also supporting local businesses, which is awesome. And if you buy a couple for the same restaurant and decide you dont like that restaurant, you can exchange it.

This is a BS scheme and does not work... The restaurants dont even accept the certificates... I am talking about the ones that I have certain for. Is there a way to report this app as abuse?

The business idea works. You can save money. I loaded it because a friend game me a $50 gift card. It is nearly impossible to figure out on the app how to redeem it. They really need a whole revamp of the app.

I have over $100 in gift certificates to use with this site, yet eveny time I try to use it, it asks me for my credit card number rather than use the certificate full of money! Also the app makes you sign in for every button you press. Annoying and not user friendly app!

Any company that gave you one of this should be ashamed and is a scam or crooked. Crooked app and wordings. Dont expect to get free food

The merchant couldnt validate my gift certificate using this app. He had to call in the gc#. It would seem to me that this would be a critical piece of the app that the company would want to make sure works well. This should be the top priority for an app MVP.

Your app is comically out of date and doesnt work at all. Worst of all, your scam gift cards dont work as advertised. Youll be out of business here soon. No respectable engineer would work on this garbage with all the opportunities for tech in Chicago.

We purchased several Restaurant.com certificates to use. We understand the small print and have no complaints on how the certificates can be used. Our problem is that we have certificates to use and the app NEVER works. We constantly get the spinning wheel of patience. It wont log me in, so I cant use the certificates I have purchased. I have used one of six. Very frustrated, as I would have gone through those and purchased more already if the app worked correctly.

First off, the app asks for a credit card when I login even though I have money to redeem in my account. Second, it says that there are items that are in stock but when checking online they are out of stock. Finally, third, the app crashes every time I try and add a gift certificate to the cart. This app is terrible. This review is all about the app, not about the convenience of restaurant.com itself. I love the restaurants online but this app is horrible.

Waste of money. Its a total scam.

This app is so unorganized with glitches and has way too many RESTRICTIONS to actually enjoy the so-called benefits. Most restaurants being offered only allow a small PORTION of the "gift card" purchased to be redeemed at the time of dining. BIG TIP- you will save more money going to your favorite restaurants happy hour! Also, the restaurant options given are bare minimal, and would probably would not even dine at your own free will. I would advise to not give this app/website any of your business... it will give you a headache trying to find a restaurant you would enjoy & then a bigger headache actually redeeming it! NEXT!

So I guess there is an app somewhere in here, but all I see is a spinning pinwheel of anticipation when I open the app. I wish I could review this app for its flashy interface and usability.....nope. Guess I have to wait to use the gift cards (or wait for the website to come back up, as it is also currently down....)

Does not work at all. Tried to sign in and would not load. Useless

I am writing to express my distaste and frustration with the whole Restaurant.com experience. I received a "gift" of $50 to redeem at Restaurants.com and from "Go", I was underwhelmed by the selection of restaurants I had to select from. I eventually found one that was nearby that would redeem my credits. I ended up with 5 credits of $10 each which I could only use one at a time. The first time I visited the restaurant, it was no problem because I had a printed certificate. Then I noticed that on the bottom of the certificate it said, "Dont hassle with paper..." and it went on to describe how using the Restaurant.com app was so easy and how it was "with you everywhere you go". Big mistake. I went a second time to the same restaurant some time later and was not even able to use my credit. At all! That was why I went there to begin with! Needless to say, I left incredibly angry and irritated. (This was through no fault of the restaurant. They were very nice, friendly and understanding of my frustrations with the app not working). I tried using the app AND getting access to my credit via the full website. All it did was try to load... and load... and load...and load! There was no problem with the Wi-Fi (I used the restaurants as well as my own/data) and it wasnt issues getting access to the internet (I was able to access other websites and use all my other apps without a problem). I even rebooted my phone and tried all the typical troubleshooting to aid in accomplishing my end task. Nothing. I spent almost 45 minutes trying to access my credits and ended up leaving the place paying full price anyway! I came home and immediately went to the computer to print the rest of my certificates (ink and paper is apparently the way to go with this company). Lo and behold, it took me about 10 minutes to get access to my certificates because it took the site so long to load. This whole thing is for the birds. Annoying with the small selection of restaurants to choose from, frustrating with the difficulty in using the app and maddening in the run-around needed to get anything accomplished through the website. Never mind the amount of time is wastes. I will never be using anything that comes close to Restaurants.com again. It has wasted enough of my time.

The people saying this is a great app are obviously being paid to say so, because there is no was anyone was scammed into using this app and it turned out well for them, its not made for that, its made to simply make you think your getting something that youre not, Shame on Apple for allowing this app, and shame on companies, like Wells Fargo and Disney, for using this app to lure in customers by offering them a "gift card" good for thousands of restaurants. B.S.! I paid $990 for $175 in "gift cards" that arent even gift cards! You got me! Congratulations!

App keeps crashing constantly. After I purchased a gift certificate the app would not open at the restaurant. Customer service is only open 8am-5pmCT or fax.

Aside from being marketed as essentially a gift card, this is the worst app Ive used in several years. The instructions say to follow the easy instructions, but there a no instructions within the app, and none of the buttons are logical in terms of user experience. It basically requires you to have an open map app and also Yelp or Google search listings for the restaurants you want. Youll spend a lot of time going back and forth so you can find the restaurant and claim your code, etc,. The app has an internal map showing pins of what I assume are restaurants, but of course theyre not clickable, so theyre more of decorations I guess. In conclusion: Id rather punch out my own face than have to keep using this app.

I love this app and the savings at some of my favorite restaurants is really fun! My phone is now a newer version and it says the app needs updating. Thank you!

No updates in two years, this app seems to have been abandoned. Cool deals to be found, but needs needs Wallet Support!

I love this service. I use it regularly and have not had one problem with it. If people would read what they are buying before they buy it, they would not have to give bad reviews for a company that works well for those of us who know what we are buying! It is only for participating restaurants so if you do not see a restaurant you want to visit, dont buy the discount certificate. Keep up the good work restaurant.com. I love trying new restaurants in different cities I travel to.
